Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival

The Exeter Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival is an annual festival that attracts over 3000 beer and chili lovers from all over the country. The festival is a fund raiser for the Exeter Parks and Recreation Department and the Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce. ecm was approached to design the logo, marketing materials and a new website.

Exeter became the capital of New Hampshire during the Revolutionary War. It’s believed that some of the gunpowder that was stored in the town’s powder house, built in 1771, was used in the Battle of Bunker Hill. Wanting to reflect the town’s Revolutionary roots, Parks & Rec and the Chamber wanted to incorporate an aspect of its history in the name & logo of the festival. ecm took the gunpowder barrel and adapted it to fit the theme of the event and pay homage to the town’s history. The result is an easily recognizable and iconic brand that will stand the test of time.

JDP Carpentry

Jed Piatt of JDP Carpentry approached ecm design to create a new logo for his business. Jed requested that the logo incorporate a maple leaf in the design. The logo needed to be a simple clean design that could be used in all types of media. It also needed to be readable when burned into wooden pieces of furniture and cabinetry using a hot branding tool.

In addition to the carpentry business Jed also has a division called The Simple Things, where he designs and produces custom fine furniture and cabinetry. We continued the design of the JDP Carpentry logo to create a complimentary logo for The Simple Things.

Located in downtown Exeter, NH, cymbidium floral specializes in unusual and exotic fresh flowers, orchid plants, succulents, greeting cards, and handmade gift items and jewelry. Owner, Jessica Christoferson, and her staff specialize in sophisticated pieces with a creative flair. Jessica uses ecm design’s team to create sophisticated floral and bridal ads to showcase cymbidium’s masterpieces.

Stone Oven Catering

Stone Oven Catering is a mobile catering company that specializes in wood fired pizza. They cater both private and corporate events, as well as fairs and festivals throughout New England.

Owner Tim Wolff contacted ecm to design a marketing brochure to help create awareness of their corporate catering services. Knowing that Tim’s product speaks for itself, ecm placed large, tempting images of the pizza at the center of the brochure, which practically begs the reader to pick up the piece. Inside, details about Stone Oven’s corporate catering were included along with images of their typical set-up and options provided. Along with samples of their pizza, the marketing brochure doesn’t have to work hard to make the sale.

CoolStream

CoolStream is the brand name owned by Exeter Science & Entertainment. They are a technology start-up based in Exeter, NH. The two owners of CoolStream, Mark and Susan, contacted ecm design to create a logo for both Exeter Science & Entertainment and CoolStream. Pleased with their results, they have since used ecm’s creative design services to brand and design packaging for their evolving CoolStream line of Bluetooth products. Exeter Science & Entertainment also takes advantage of our in-house design and print services for promotional materials.
